Anna married Richard Torr in 1918 with consent. According to later census entries she was born at Portsmouth I can find no record of this. Not on IGI either; am at wits end! Any suggestions ?

What does the marriage certificate list as her father's name and occupation? It should be possible to locate him and the family in the 1901 census.

Sorry, my mistake, date should be 1818 not 1918.
