I've not been doing much in the way of research lately but need help again!
My cousin Mabel Fryer Kelsey is mentioned in several books I have read about the Hadfield Spears hospital (she is referred to as Kelsey). I have read that Mabel went with Colonel Fruchaud and the task force that went on the Dakar expedition in Sept. 1940. I think she may have been nursing on the Westernland or the Pennland. Were these set up as hospital ships? Any info about the medical people at Dakar and/or the ships would be most grateful. Where might she have gone after Dakar?
