I am unable to locate any sources of the PR's for Redenhall and Harleston with Wortwell, Norfolk. It appears that they are well hidden from researchers, and not published or copied anywhere, apart from Bishop's Transcripts. Does anyone have any idea how I might access them from Australia?

Hi Michael,

The Norfolk Records Office

http://archives.norfolk.gov.uk/nroindex.htm

appear to have much of it filmed....

REDENHALL with HARLESTON and WORTWELL (PD 295)
Microform
Baptisms 1558-1898
Marriages 1558-1899
Burials 1558-1906
Marrriage Banns 1754-1812, 1823-1907

I know they will supply copy media for a fee, but suspect this may be on film rather than fiche, so might be a fairly costly item to get copied.

It would be worth contacting them to check though. I got a very helpful answer about some other Norfolk parishes, although if you email them it may be a few days before you get a reply.

Alan.

Some years for Redenhall have been transcribed and are available to view on Free Reg.

Thanks for the replies - free reg does have some information of use. Last time I looked it was not up and running - that appears to have changed now.
