Childrens Homes/ work houses in Oxon.

Hi all,

Any ideas where I can get a comprehensive list (especially for the Stratton Audley area) for the late 1800's to 1950's?

Any help is greatly apprecaited.

I don't know about children's homes, but for workhouses have you seen this excellent site...

Alsp useful is this site that details all the institutions enumerated in the 1901 census.....

I'm not aware of anything equivalent for the earlier censuses, unfortunately.

Thanks Alan,

Apparently an entire group of about 8 kids from one family branch were placed in one and I'm trying to find out which one in the hopes of finding out why.
