Hi, I've been lurking around this forum for a while but haven't put my own interests on, so here goes:
Suffolk names: Barnard, Adams, Hunt, Sparrow, Ive, Wilson, Reynolds, Fordham, Brabrooke, Snelling, Farrow, Alcock, Boggis, possibly Halls and Cook,
Norfolk names: Barnard, Sapey, Fox, Yeomans, maybe Brighten or Brighting
Devon names: Buttle, Westcott, Thompson, Knight, possibly Hoare and Bickford.
We have gone way back with the Buttle family thanks to Jonathan Metcalfe who has been researching this family name for over 30 years, but have got stuck on the Westcott line and the Thompsons, Knight, Hoare etc.
For my husband's tree we are searching the following names in Durham and Scotland/Ireland area:
From Ireland: Brennan (miners supposedly from Kilkenny going to maybe Motherwell, Lanarkshire area and then on to Durham), McKenna & possibly Tierney.
From Durham area: Clark, Thompson, Moore (we are getting nowhere with Thomas Moore, supposed to be from The Felling (Heworth area near Gateshead)
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who may be connected to these families.
