I have Nebulonis entered after the paternal name each time a christening is entered for this family.
I’m interpreting this as nebulo, a Good-for-nothing Fellow or scoundrel.

can any one tell if I'm correct?

Well, I found the translation as being:

"a useless person, a trifler"

So, maybe the father was a ne'er-do'well, and not held in very high esteem by the Church ;)

Thanks Jan1954, this tells me I'm on the right track of thought. worrying though because the said father later becomes church warden and the vicar puts (Nebu) after his name on every year end return! ;)
