Yes my ancestors were big in the Railways family name Weaver or Sparrow The family tree goes way back to 1593 - but i do know not who it was as there are other names on the family tree of course. But there was a big family trust set up from the involvement in the railways. My mother thought it was the Sparrow's I was told the family invented the soft Horse Shoe Nail but have not found anything out on this. A friend of mine said the Romans invented the Horse Shoe Nail. Which maybe true there again my family ancestors could then have modified it and manufactured it. As it had to be done by someone in the steel business which as extremely affluent in those days. Does anyone know about anthing of the names involved or about anything in reference to the above?
