View First Unread - not available

There was a button marked "View First Unread" which didn't seem to work. I had been hoping someone would fix it - but now it has vanished. Have you given up?
This would have been a most useful function - any chance it might reappear sometime soon?

Oops I must have been looking at threads I'd already viewed!! Button only appears when there are unread messages. Thanks. :p
