Sergeant Thomas Litchfield 51st Regiment was the first husband of my Great Grand Mother. I tried to obtain his service record from the TNA quoting WO25/82, the reply I received stated ' unable to locate within specified document '.
December 1858 my GGM gave birth to a daughter at South Barracks Walmer Kent, father recorded as Sgt T.L.
On the 5th May 1866 my GGM gave birth to a son at the Armory Barracks Cirencester Gloucestershire, father recorded as Staff Sergeant Robert Owen.
Two questions I would like to resolve, what happened to Sgt Thomas Litchfield in between those dates,or just prior, also information as to where they were married ?
Obviously I quoted an incorrect reference number, would some one please help.|help||help|
Thank you,
Joe.
