Hi

I have been working on my family history for about thirty years! Hard to believe! And I still feel that I'm new at it.
As I tend to get papers everywhere when I'm working on my hobby, I feel I have to put everything away most of the time, so don't get as far as I'd like.

Some of my names:
Jeynes / Jeens, Harris, Colley, Dyer ~ Gloucestershire (Bredon Hill ~ Beckford, Grafton, Ashton-Under-Hill) + B'ham
Neal /e ~ Worcs (Sedgeberrow), Glos (Ashton-Under-Hill), Birmingham
Doyle ~ Ireland, Glamorgan (Swansea, Merthyr/Dowlais, Pontypridd)
Hampton ~ Worcestershire, Glamorgan (Swansea, Merthyr/Dowlais, Pontypridd)
Muldoon / Maldon: Glamorgan (Pontypridd), Somerset (Frome), Ireland
Davies ~ Glamorgan (Merthyr Tydfil)
Llewellyn: Glamorgan
Keefe / O'Keefe: Glamorgan (Mountain Ash, Pontypridd)
Shanahan / Shannon / O'Shanahan ~ Glamorgan (Mountain Ash)
Hacket, Hanon ~ Ireland, Glamorgan
Svombo / Swambo / Swanbo etc ~ Greece (Hydra); Ireland (Cork / Queenstown), Glamorgan (Cardiff, Pontypridd)
Barry ~ Ireland (Cork / Queenstown) Glamorgan (Cardiff)
Thornton ~ Yorks (Baildon); Glamorgan (Swansea, Merthyr)
Jones ~ Carmarthen (Llanboidy)
Sarjant, Cole ~ B'ham (Aston, Kings Heath)

Hi Tricia

I am new to Brit-Gen and I have a Helen O'keefe who I don't know much about. My O'keefe was a Chambermaid in a Hotel in Glamorgan and gave birth to a V. J. Symes in 1929 in Cardiff. Her address is Port Talbot. The baby was adopted by the natural father (William Symes) and his wife - say no more.

I know nothing more, do you know anything about a Helen O'keefe?

Regards

Kath

Hello Kath
Interesting story.
I haven't heard of a Helen O' Keefe, but she may be lurking somewhere, because I don't really know a lot about that line.
If I find her, I'll let you know. :)
Good luck!
