clean boot help please

can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to do a clean boot on my computer with VISTA.

Not sure which way you want to do a clean boot, but click on start and go to help and support and type in clean boot, it will give you 30 different answers.
Normal clean boot are either from a CD or by pressing one of the F keys in the first few seconds of starting the PC and selecting what you want to do. If I could remember which one I tell you but the screen flickers and its gone.

thanks didn't see this before...I could not reply or send emails from a third party email system since I had been on vista... Microsoft came up with an answer which it said required a clean boot, did the things leading up to this and then got stuck..however the problem was solved
