Tony TooleyTony,
I don't see your Henry or Charlotte on the 1891 census and the only entry for a Maud/Maude TOOLEY of the right age is the following, living at 31 Market Place in Olney, Buckinghamshire:
Name / Age / Birthplace / Relationship / Occupation
Daniells, Emily G 27 Kennington, London Head Dressmaker
Daniells, Kate 25 Kennington, London Sister Housekeeper
Daniells, Edith A 21 Beckenham, Kent Sister Milliner
Tooley, Maude 16 Westminster, London Apprentice Dressmaker
Blaxland, Mabel C 17 Kennington, London Apprentice Dressmaker
Reference:
Source information: RG12/1152
Registration district: Newport Pagnell
Sub registration district: Olney
ED, institution, or vessel: 1
Folio: 4
Page: 1
Maybe the entry for Charlotte and Henry has been wrongly transcribed or they are living in an area that I don't have access to yet.
Hope this helps.
Trish
Thank you very much Trish. It doesn't seem likely that this is the right Maud but I'll keep what you found on file in case. They didn't appear in the 1901 census either. I can now follow other lines of inquiry.
Thanks again
Tony
