This is on an 1851 census for Chester under "where born"

eg Salop Par WR
Denbigh Par WR
Flintshire Par WR

I know someone out there will know what it means.

Are you sure it's not Par NK, ie Parish Not Known?

yes of course it is!!! the N & K could easily be mistaken for WR
