Hi, I am a semi retired teacher from Coventry and I have been researching our family trees for about 12 months. I have collected loads of census and births, deaths and marriages material and my biggest problem is flitting from one thing to another, rather than concentrating on one branch at a time.
I have just started to visit records offices to find information not freely available via the computer.
My family names that I am researching are SHIPLEY from EPWORTH LINCOLNSHIRE, EDGE and DOYLE from COVENTRY and HOLMES from STAFFORDSHIRE and SUSSEX.
My husband's family names are MOORE from COVENTRY and BAKER, EMBURY, WATKINS, LAMBERT and GALLIERS from HEREFORDSHIRE.
Sticking points at present are
1) The GALLIERS. Anne GALLIERS (C1805) married James Baker 1838 and I believe her parents are Thomas and Leticia. I am led to believe that the Galliers are Hugenots but I haven't been able to establish this myself!
I look forward to hearing from anyone with similar research interests.
