I,m looking for a baptism record for Lydia BAINBRIDGE about 1746.
I think she was born in Derby and possibly christened at St Michaels as she was married there in 1767 to William SMITH
Her burial service was also at St Michaels in 1781.

There are no birth records before July 1837 when Civil Registration started. Before that there were only parish registers which recorded baptisms, although occasionally the register also gave the date of birth.
