Northumberland Fusliliers - 2nd Boer War

I am trying to track down the military carreer of Walter POTTER age 21, born in Birmingham 1880, who served in the Northumberland Fusiliers during the 2nd Boer War. I'm told that there may be a record in the Boer War medal rolls. Can anyone please help?
