Some older spelling in the will may confuse.............

Cozon = cousin

My goodness- thank you!

It will take me a while to digest all this. Thanks again,

Theresa

No problem - any others, just ask.

I've added in a little bit of punctuation that wasn't in the original (just the odd comma and apostrophe), just to make it a little easier to read, but without altering the meaning of the will. Great to get the codicil with all the small bequests - presumably small gifts to servants or other employees - or perhaps people who had nursed her in poor health.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

It makes fantastic reading, I didn't realise the family were Cornfactors or Evangelists. Thanks again,

Theresa

I didn't realise the family were...Evangelists.

Please don't be misled by this phrase. Swearing on the Holy Evangelists was simply an old-fashioned way of saying swearing on the Bible.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.
It makes fantastic reading,

I'd love to have had ancestors who left such an informative document - all those people mentioned, the occupations, the relationships; the monetary bequests. It's as good an example of why it is worthwhile hunting out such documents and leads onto so many other questions which need answering.

Good luck
