This is most likely a hardcopy of a fiche image from the Middlesex 1851 which has to yet appear on CD Few will have the fiche so unless you post the image you are unlikely to have any responces

Hi Brenda,
I think I have e-mailed you before, Thomas Boulter seems very familiar. I found him (Ihope) on the 1861 census in Spring Gardens, Old Brentford, Eccliastical Dist of St Georges
Thomas Bolter 50 Porter Berkshire
Sylvia Bolter 51 Somerset
Priscila Bolter 8 Scholar Brentford Middlesex

Regards,
Ann :)
I will e-mail you the original census return.

Thanks Ann much appreciated.
No I could not access it, but I have now purchased it myself.
I still have got no furthur forward with my GGGG grandparents.
Goodness knows where they married.
Until I find that, I dont even know my GGGG grand mothers full name.
I purchased a cd of Brentford pariish reg, but no luck there.
George thier first born? was christened 6 apr 1828 Ealing.
On that bapitism record his mothers name is Selina as it is also transcribed in 1861.
But all other census appear to be Sylvia, and Sylvia has been a family ever since so I was convinced it must be Sylvia, now I,m not so sure.
I will check freebmd now, for the death of a Selina, that may help.
1841 had Silvania or something similar.
regards Brenda

If they had any children after July 1837, that child's birth certificate ought to show his/her mother's maiden name.

There were 24 times more Selinas than Sylvias born around that time (source: 1881 census).

So my money is on Selina.
