Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not entirely sure what the "RE" is - I think it is Royal Engineers.

I am guessing this man's date to be 1750-1803 as I know he was dead by 1804 when his daughter, Mary Elizabeth, married John Munn.

All I seem to find are William Parkers in the Navy and I was hoping to locate something to help me figure out which William Parker this is (as there are zillions). I thought that RE would be more artillery/army.

Can anybody give me a quick clue as to how else this man might be listed or where to look for him?

Thx,
betsy
