I would appreciate any information on my g. grandfather John Bell born in Northumberland about 1843. I have had no success in finding his parents and I'm really hoping someone can help me with this. He married Ann Scott about 1870 but still need confirmation on that info also.
Does anyone have any information that they can share with me and point me in the right direction? Thanks!

In the year 1843 there are 22 x John Bell births registered in Northumberland - plus four with middle names. So you are going to need his father's name and occupation from his marriage to Ann. Armed with that you should be able to find him as a child at home in the 1851 census which will give you a town name for his birth, and an accurate age, hopefully. Then you can narrow down his birth reg.

Are you certain of his wife's name from a child's birth certificate?
