My ggg grandfather John Birchall married a Sarah (Sally) Sant (1792) and they were both born in Cheshire. Any relation to you?

My great grandmother was called Sarah Postles, born 1855 in Goostrey (father Robert born 1833 in Kinderton and mother Mary Thorley) and she married into my Birchall family -Mark Birchall in 1874. They lived and then died in Holmes Chapel and I have visited their graves.

Any connection? Are you a member ofgenes reunited if so let me know and you can then access my tree.

My profile says "an unknown quantity at this point" and I have to say ... slow in replying!
Most of my Postles lived in Leftwich where they were Tanners, Taylors & Leather Dressers. I'll have to go back into my files to get names & dates but I'll try to do this in the next couple of days.

I think I have a John Thorley from Marton in my tree. I've just started researching...so will need to triple check it! |oopsredfa
If I'm right, I have John Thorley born 1817/1816 in Marton, married to Sarah, children are James, Ann, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, and Thomas.
I think Johns parents are William Thorley and Hannah, and I think John has a brother called William...and possibly also brother George and Henry.

If I am right John Thorley would be my Great Great Great Granddad.

I think my ancestor Mary Thorley was the daughter of Joseph Thorley (born ab 1811) and Ann (born ab1811). In the 1841 census her siblings were Jane and Sarah. They lived in Goostrey. We could be connected but have not done enough research to find out who Josephs' parents and siblings are.
