Is there anyone who has the 1871 census for Deal who would do me a look up for Edwin Maxted? He was born in 1859/1860. Any details of parents and siblings would be greatly appreciated.

Further to Jo's post have you got him in the 1881 census at 8A Garden Street, Folkstone, Kent?

Edwin Maxted 21 b Deal, Carter
Harriet Maxted 20 Wife
Albert Son 2
George F Son 1

As you have said Sndwich is almost part of Deal so almost certainly the one you want.
