In the Will, of Francis Prater Newlyn East )1683, he leaves money, to his grandchildren Elizabeth and Francis Hoblyn. there is no other mention of them.

I am looking, for a Prater ( female ) marriage to a Hoblyn.

thank you

trudi.

Hi Trudi,
The Hoblyn family, as you may know, had (still have?) a large estate in Colan, near Newquay. The old manor house for the estate is now derelict and the area is known as Colan Woods by the locals.

I haven't got anything mentioning a marriage of a Hoblyn and a Prater myself, but I shall keep my eyes open in case something does crop up.

Hi Mark. thank you.

No I didn't know this about the Hoblyn family.

I came across the surname in the St Enoder IGI Batch Numbers for St Enoder and wondered, if the grandchildren were from these Hoblyn families. Unfortunately the IGI dates were not within the timeframe, I need earlier dates.

Just happened to notice that if you copy and paste Francis Prater Newlyn East 1683 into search bar that you may find a match to Francis Prater 1618 - 1683 son of William, brother of Anstis Prater. Hope this is the one you are seeking.
