Navy & Army Illustrated

Might be useful: scanned online photographs from the Navy & Army Illustrated magazines. Volume 1 was 1895. I have to say I haven't been able to view them but that's probably my browser settings ;)

If anyone needs a look-up, I have bound copies from Volume 1 December 1895 through to March 1898.

Thanks for the link Nico, my grandfather joined up in the 1890s, so it will give me a good idea of the navy in those days.

It probably isn't your browser - the first five or six pictures were not there for me, got the little red cross - but I had started further down in the thumbnails so I didn't realise until I went back. The pictures come up huge, do not fit in the screen.
