I am an ex Renfrewshire resident but all my Renfrewshire ancestry is on my husband's side! Still, am glad to see there is now a Renfreshire forum.
Andrew BENNIE b 1822 Lennoxtown, Stirlingshire moved to Paisley and married Elizabeth REID in Johnstone on 17 Apr 1857.
Their children were William, Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary, Agnes and Archibald.
I would particularly like to make contact with descendants of Elizabeth, who suposedly emigrated to the USA
