Hi,
Can anyone please help with a lookup next time they go to the County records office for Shropshire. I am looking for the birth/baptism of Edith Packer, born at the end of 1825, baptised in January 1826 in Diddlebury. Her parents were John Packer and Edith ????, so if the parish records show her Mother's maiden name, I would be very grateful for that info.
I have as yet to find Edith as marrying Charles Bond!, their first child was born in Shropshire in 1847. A friend of mine has already discovered that no marriage took place in Diddlebury, but I have a nagging thought at the back of my mind that Edith said in one of the census's that she also lived in Ludlow. If anyone has any contacts with Ludlow, could you please check to see if this marriage took place there!! ( I will not hold my breath!!)
