Have a look at TNA's research guides
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/researchguidesindex.asp?j=1
scroll down to 'B' and look under 'British Army'.

Have you downloaded his medal card from Documents Online?

Does he appear in the National Roll for the Great War?

You may need to make a visit to TNA at Kew to find out any more - if the records have survived. As mentioned read the research guides to find out what exists.

What have you been able to glean from the pension records about his earlier service? Ideally, you need to know when he was previously discharged.

You could try for his discharge papers in WO 97

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/DisplayCatDetailsGoto.asp?catref=WO+97

Read the Full Details tab for useful information.

If I remember correctly they put 6 cards to a page, but they are not all for the same person.

It is explained on the site you downloaded from -

"The cards were originally filmed in groups of six, and have been scanned the same way. So the card you order will usually come with five other images of WO 372 medal cards."

There is a lot more information and advice on the same page which you will probably need to read.
