I was wondering if anyone could help me decipher a piece of information on the 1851 census of Wales, as I am unable to do so myself.
The piece in question relates to my greatx3 grandmother's occupation at the time. Her name was Jane Davies, and she was born a1816 in London. In 1851 she was residing in the Pentrefelin area of Wrexham Abbot(enumeration district 5e). At this time she had become widowed, and had children whose names included John and Edwin(my ancestor).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

A page and folio number would be good, I would take a look but I don't have the time to troll through pages looking for someone first.

Sorry for not replying sooner as the old computer has been on the blink- I knew one day I would have to do the ironing!!!!
Thanks for the info, I have poured over this one for ages-seamstress does look like a valid transcription.
She must have had a hard life as in her sixties she was working as a puddler in an ironworks in Warrington.....and I complain about the ironing!!!
