I awoke early this wet Easter Sunday in Vancouver Canada switched on the tele for the news and for the next 25 or so mins watched spellbound to a program on the Development of the Canadian Public Health System which was in fact the story of the 19c European Immigrant Quarantine Station near Quebec City. This was the only Port of Entry to Canada at that time and all ships carrying immigrants had first to report to the Station before proceeding to the Port
