Iam trying to trace anyone who knows any thing about a Rex and Madeline Stoddart lived in New York in the 1945years Rex was in the army over in uk for a while. hope someone can help.thanks, Barbara.

Rex R. Stoddart, b: 1918, Cortland county New York, enlisted 8 Jan 1941 in Syracuse, New York. Listed as married, height 65" weight 143 lbs, 1 yr college, occ: oil & gas man, enlisted as private.

Have found current (5 yrs old) info for Rex, Madeline, and others at same address. Tried to send a private message, but you have listed no email as a preference. Rex R. was born 29 May 1918, Madeline M. on 26 May 1920. Both still living in 2002. They appear to be in Chipley, Washington County, Florida. Address and phone are listed in the US Public Records Index on Ancestry but will not post them here for privacy reasons. Other relatives are living with them. You could check white page listings, or subscribe to Ancestry to get the info if you prefer.

I checked the SSDI up to Feb 2007 - there is no death listed for Rex or Madeline - so they may both still be living. He would be 88, she 86.

Barbara - At the top of the page, click on User CP at the far left. Then select Edit Options from the menu that appears on the left of the new screen. Go to Messaging & Notification and enable e-mail from other members and enable private messaging by clicking on the appropriate selections. Go to the bottom of the page and select Save Changes.
