William Tomlinson Family

Trying to trace this family, William Tomlinson possible born Broxton/Tattenhall C 1805 married Ann Harding Born Tattenhall C 1811, married Chester 1830, later moved to Liverpool where family born. At his daughters marriage in West Derby in 1854 listed as Blacksmith.

There is a Tomlinson family listed in later L/pool census as a boiler maker from Cheshire ????

Any look up's possible for the family togeher with any relevant information, I would be very grateful.

I hope I have followed the right family for you..

William the grandson in 1881 seems to become William the son (should be relation to the head, but Sarah's son?) by 1891.

In 1871 there is a William Tomlinson born 1811 Cheshire in Lancashire, Lodger, but he is a Labourer and not a Boiler Maker.

Also when I looked for some of the others in 1871 this one came up which could be Sarah..

It does look like Jane H for the wife on the image, but when I followed the family in 1881..............I am sure this is the same family i.e. Jane H has turned into Ann H (Harriet).

I am not sure if the Sarah I have followed to the Price's is the correct one - Was it a Harriet Tomlinson who married a Fletcher in West Derby?

Many thanks for your help, I now need time to study the details.

It was the Harriet that married William Fletcher, my GGgrandmother. I have the Marr. Cert. There may be a connection with one of the witnesses at their wedding - Mark Birkhead from Westmoreland - he married a Sarah Tomlinson around 1850 in Kendal. According to the IGI she was born L/pool 1827 and was the daughter of a James & Mary T.

William Fletcher owned or worked at the American Light Co in Shaws Brow, Mark Birkhead was a OIl Lamp Merchant so he could have owned the business with him. I know the Business was in the hands of a William Thomas Wilson in 1894.
