Hello,

I wondered if anyone is in the position to do a look up for some births/baptisms dates for me please.
John Scully b. St Helier 1848 Birth/baptism dates?
William Scully b.St Helier 17/07/1850/51 Baptism date?
Mary Ann Scully b.St Helier 1854c birth/baptism dates?
Ellen Scully b.St Helier 1857c birth/baptism dates?
Possible spellings of Scully - Sculley & Skulley & Seully.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Tracey Scully.

Right, good news and bad news.

I couldn't find anything for the birth of John Scully, but:

William Scully 11/6/1850 - 24/6/1851, Vol 8, P17
Marie Ann Scully 5/7/1852 - 7/7/1853, Vol 10, P52
Ellen Scully 13/12/1856 - 19/3/1858, Vol 14, P20

I also stumbled across Marie Augustine Scully, 5/7/1852 - 7/?/1853, Vol 10. Sorry but I can't read my writing so I don't know the month and I didn't note the page number. Also, I recall seeing her death when looking for John but didn't make a note. Let me know if you want further information.

If you want a copy of the certificate you need to contact:

Hi Stewart,

Firstly, thank you for the look ups. I appreciate it.
The date for William's birth makes more sense than the one I had as he's 8 months old on the 51 census & I had his birth date as 17/07/51.
I may be a bit stupid but does the 11/06/50 - 24/06/51 mean birth and baptism dates.
Thank you also for finding the info for John Scully.
I'll contact the address and number you kindly gave me.

Kind regards,

Tracey.

Hi Tracey

The dates are the volume that the record is found in. For example volume 8 covers the period 11/6/1850 to 24/6/1851. On page 17, is the record you want. Hope thsat helps.

Hi Stewart,

Thanks a lot for that. If you are able to look up some deaths for me in the future I'd really appreciate it as I haven't found deaths for any of these Scully's. All the same family:
Jeremiah Scully also known as Jeremy b.Ireland 1821c moved to St Helier 1847.
Ellen Scully nee Daily b.Ireland 1821c moved to St Helier 1847 with husband Jeremiah. These are my Gt Gt Grandparents and I'd really like to know what became of them but have no idea when they died.

I'm hoping to trace the parents in Ireland of both Jeremiah and Ellen but it's not an easy task!

Thank you again for the info, it's helped me a lot.

Kind regards,

Tracey.

Tracey

Unfortunately, the Archive Centre closes in the lunch hour and I can't get to it in the day as "work" gets in the way! They have late night opening on the last Thursday of each month, so if you don't mind waiting, I'll go and look on 22nd Feb.

Hi Stewart,

I don't mind waiting at all and I'm grateful for what you have given me so far. I know life and work get in the way of me doing more research, oh to be rich and be able to spend more time on family history!
Thanks and kind regards,

Tracey.
