Hi Chris,

Many thanks for asking.

I have got quite a way but I am still looking for something that may not be there. I need a Merry SMITH? born in Ireland in Lewes about 1841 and had a child and may have died in childbirth. It is too vague at the moment and there are not enough records transcribed. I think freebmd is the best bet and I reckon I need to wait another few years before it is complete and then search.

Other than that I am waiting patiently for the 1861, 1871 and 1891 Census for the whole of Sussex so that I can obtain a list of LEVETT/LEVITT. there are aa few loose ends on that family that I need to tidy up so that I can chase relatives/descendants of the Lancaster Street family.

Kind regards
Rick
