Town Crier on 1901 Census

Hi
I am trying to find any information on Town Criers in Kettering. On the 1901 Census Joseph Dix born Geddington living in Rose Cottage Kettering has occupation as Town Crier. I can't find any information and was hoping there would be some information out there and maybe a photo. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the Local Studies section of Northampton Central Library? They have an enquiry service at http://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/Leisure/Libraries/enquire.htm
I see you are based in Northants, so it might be easier to pop in and ask?

I've always found local studies centres very helpful and they can sometimes come up with information hard to find elsewhere :)

Had a quick google for you but the Town Crier Newspaper kept coming up.
However, found this lovely site for Northants wish it was my relatives area.
