Hi I am researching the surname pettit/pettet.The family seem to have stayed around Newmarket. Is anyone else looking at the surname. Thanks Mark

My mother's maiden name was Pettit. She was born in Teversham Cambridgeshire.

I have traced the surname back to Ancestors living in and around Kirtling Near Newmarket. However I think the surname is fairly common in that area.

Anyhow I'll check my research, and let you know.
