NOTT Henry was born Hampton, Lovett, Worcestershire c1857
He married Annie Hunt in Gympie Australia 25/10/1890
his age at time of marriage was 33 years his occupation was miner.
his father was Samuel Nott c1816 Hartlebury, Worcestershire - labourer
his mother was Mary Brookin c1822 Salwarpe, Worcestershire.

He has been found in 1861 and 1881 census and his parents were married
1841 in Droitwich 18 367
his father died March 1866 at Droitwich age 49 6a 262

His older sister Mary Ann married William Joseph Pennington and as a widow Mary Nott and HENRY along with his younger brother William c1862 moved in to live with them.

My problem is a record of his birth and when did he emigrate to Australia.
It appears 2 of his sisters emigrated to Australia 1 in 1883 the other in 1884.
Word of mouth in the family is that Henry came out with his brother whom I only assume (I know you shouldn't assume) that it was William he came with.

Hope someone can help here thank you

I have put the url to the free GRO index images in my previous post Deidre.
And are you searching NOTT and NUTT - even KNOTT however unlikely. :)
And try a few years either side of what you expect.

By the way Deidre, you are looking for a birth registered in the district of Droitwich - to which Hampton Lovett belongs. (Just in case you didn't know. )

I would trawl through the images for you, but I have to go to work.

Christine, The link you left above goes to Ancestry and I have been there before but I scrolled through again and although there is a few Henry Notts who could be mine the record doesn't give parents names to be sure that it is the right Henry Nott. Is this also the gro index names? Please excuse confusion.

Deirdre

You would think I would have worked this out by now...tisk!tisk!
