Medal Rolls Kings Shropshire Light Infantry

I have just learned that my Grandfather Thomas B Jones Regiment No
33059 was a private in the Kings S Light InFrantry. I am about to send for his medals, but I understand that I need the medal rolls. I enclose a copy of the medal card and if someone could make sense of it and tell me more I would appreciate it.

The numbers and letters next to the medals are the index numbers which allow you to identify the actual medal roll. To do this you need to consult a separate catalogue which is held at the National Archive which will gve you the document reference number for the roll you require. There is plenty of help available there if you get stuck. There are separate rolls for the 1914 Star and the 1915 Star. The British War and Victory Medals are on the same roll as each other.
