I'm searching for information on a William Lloyd, b about 1835 in or around Kidderminster, he was a weaver by trade. He had one son that I know of, Alfred Lloyd b.1865, d. pre 1917, lived at Winterdyne Cottage, Wolverley, prior to his marriage, (June 1886) to Caroline Mary Jane Southan (Jane) b. 1867.
Any information would be gratefully accepted

Unfortunately the name William Lloyd seems very common in the area at this time. Have you found the family in any of the census reports?

Yes, a friend with access to the census has found 'William Lloyd' in the 1861 census RG 9/2007 pg.8 and the 1871 census RC 10/3037 pg.10
I would desparately love to have parental info.

There is a William Lloyd born approx 1835 in Kidderminster in the 1851 census. It could be him. Head of family William Lloyd aged 40 born Kidderminster, wife Anne Lloyd aged 38 born Ombersley, children all born Kidderminster Eliza aged 17, Ellen aged 15, William aged 13 and Louisa aged 11. Unfortunately I can't quite read young Williams occupation it looks like weaver carpet drawer. The reference is HO107/2038. Have you checked the parish records at Worcester Records Office to see if you can find anything there?
