Im looking for the ELDER family,
John b1821 Scotland
Elizabeth b 1823 Neston, Cheshire
Isabella b 1852 Chester
Margaret b1855 Trinity Cheshire
Thomas b 1860 Trinity Cheshire
Ann b 1866 Trinity Cheshire

I have found them in 1871 in Flintshire Wales, but can't find before of after.
Any help much appricated

This looks like them in the 1861 of Trinity, Chester:

Elizabeth ELDER Head Mar 39 Labourers Wife Cheshire Neston
Isabella do Daur 9 Scholar Flintshire Hawarden
Margaret do Daur 5 Cheshire Chester

There is a John ELDER of about the correct age, married, Dog Keeper, in Windsor although his birthplace is given as Windsor on RG9/760, folio 24, page 25. I can't see another likely one via Ancestry anyway.

Frances looks as if she is a servant in the 1881 census of Rhuddlan (RG11/5528, folio 54, page 4) but I can't find Elizabeth or John after 1871.

www.cheshirebmd.org.uk (http://www.cheshirebmd.org.uk) lists the marriage of John Elder & Elizabeth Roberts in 1852 at St Mary, Chester. The marriage certificate will give their fathers' names & occupations, also their marital status (ie whether single or widowed).

Thank you very much for the link have also found the births of Isabella and several siblings (= 2 infant deaths)
Will send for certificates and see where they led me.
