Thanks for pointing that out - it has happened to me a couple of times lately - somehow between writing and posting an extra http:// has sneaked in despite my best efforts. I have now learned to double check for this quirk.

I have been browsing through the1841 and 1851 census images for this part of the world, and was struck by the large number of "Wife of Fisherman" entries in the Occupation column. The men must have all been out fishing when the enumerator turned up.

No wonder they have been so hard to find!

Looks as if I've gone from a brick wall a few months back to now being in a position where I can at least point anyone researching the DREW mob from West Penwith and environs in the right direction, thanks to some very useful, and a few serendipitous, contacts. And I have at last now found a fifth cousin three times removed who was actually born a DREW. |jumphappy and |woohoo|
