Could any one help with any information on the scott family they originated in canobie ...Iknow francis scott was born in 1819 but was wondering how to go further back to his parents ..........

Hi, have you tried familysearch.org ? I have just pulled francis up shown as born 1817 to James Scott and May Murray in Canonbie scotland, if you click on the batch number on the christening data, it will pull up the parish records for the church, then revise seach and input the surname and you can have a good nosy at all the scotts born as far back as the records for that church go! then play matching them up and the marriages. If you are lucky you might find the church in the genuk website, and sometimes some lovely person has taken the time to transcribe the death records and headstones.
