My great aunt Charlotte married John Hamilton, a seaman in Sydney 1903. His parents were John Hamilton (also a seaman) and Jane Morgan from Whitehaven Cumberland. According to our family folklore, John and Charlotte went to America and Charlotte died as a result of an earthquake in California about 1933.
