I am searching for descendants of the Andrews family Moonta South Australia. William Andrew( born 1824 Cornwall) and his wife Catherine (nee Collins) had a son William John Andrew 5 Jan 1855, he married Tabitha Harris in 1878 in Moonta South Australia. They also had a son William Charles Andrew 15 Jun 1878 in Moonta he had a son also William Charles Andrew born 15 nov 1903 in New Zealand before returning to South Australia. Can anyone help me locate any other members of this family?

I am William Charles Andrew (born 15 nov 1903) great grandaughter and this thread has given me a huge boost in my explorations of my family tree so thankyou so much for providing this info.

I am a bit confused about the marriage of

I think the father and residence owner is the other way around. Could somebody double check for me?

I have been cross referencing with birth records and it makes more sense that William Leslie Woodward (314/374) is Flora Doreen Woodward's father. And Samuel Sandbatch Woodward is Flora's Grandfather

I have been told by family sources that the majority of my Australian Woodward ancestors are buried at Moonta cemetery

I have found cemetetary records in the Moonta Cemetery for a Samuel S Woodward who died in 1932 and born around 1853. He had married a Flora Matters who was born around 1864 and died in 1938.

What threw me is that Samuel S Woodward would have been around 56 years of age and his wife Flora would have been around 46 years of age when Florence Doreen Andrew (nee Woodward) was born.

I know this is possible :cool:

I guess that means William Leslie Woodward was Flora Doreen Andrew (nee Woodward) brother.

I am really really new at this, I have only been researching about 10 days so I apologise for my waffle and hope to learn to be a little more succinct in my questions as I go along.

Yes indeed, Maxinc I apologise for hijacking, but I am happy to share what I know so far about the descendants, my grandmother who is William Charles Andrew (b 15/11/1903) daughter in law has provide me with a lot of first hand information and I do have a great aunt who has apparently performed extensive work in this area but I need to locate her and share a pot of tea :)

Thanks Cassie, I have used that site quite a bit, I translated both the Andrew's and the Woodwrds to a spreadsheet and then sorted by plot/grave number. This gave me an indication of who has been laid to peace together, therefore giving me a rough idea of relationships..

And thankyou procat for the welcome...I do have a bad case of family fever :)
