I'm trying to find out more information on a relative (John Vallerine) who enlisted 05/07/18 and who was discharged 10/09/18, we know he died in 1922 of consumption of which it is thought was caught during the Great War. He was 26 when he died.

after anyone who knows anything about John Vallerine, a decendent of mine who was discharged during WW1 with consumption of which he died in 1922.

Does anyone know of any sites other than

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/Default.asp?j=1

I know who was in the Rifle Brigade and his service number was 83449 PTE (and what seems like '52 Grad Bn'), he was discharged and went to live in Surrey.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks Scott

52 Grad refers to 52nd Graduated Battalion which would provide trained recruits for active service battalions and was part of the Training Reserve. The way the Training Reserve operated was quite complex and underwent a number of changes, but in essence he was probably undergoing specialised training before being posted. If he was discharged whilst serving with 52nd Graduated in 1918, he would have been at Colchester.

If you can post the details that appear on his medal index card, it may help.

You will need to check the WO 363 and 364 series of soldiers documents at the National Archive to see what happened to him, if they have survived. If he was discharged through illness or injury he may have been entitled to a pension. In which case check the PIN 26 series of documents which were held by the Ministry of Pensions. However only a representative selection of these were retained.
