I'm desperately trying to find evidence of the birth of Thomas Hopcraft c. 1750 - 1760. lived in Tiffield, Northamptonshire and married there twice. Managed to produce 21 children in the county of Northants, but I don't think he was born there. I know there were lots of Hopcrafts in Oxfordshire, which is obviously pretty close, and so I'm hoping someone can help me. I know Thomas married Susannah ?, but this didn't take place in Tiffield like his other marriages.

Just to let you know that there's no record on the OFHS's Oxfordshire Marriage Index (1538-1837) of a Thomas HOPCRAFT marrying a Susanna.

Have you tried the Oxfordshire Baptism Index (approx. 90% complete)? For a few pounds the OFHS will do a search for you - go to "Search Services" on their website.

Geographically, Buckinghamshire is the nearest county to Tiffield - have you tried searching there for the marriage?
