Marriage query Darby

I've found the record of my ggreatgrandfather's marriage but wonder whether anyone can find his spouse's maiden name. He was James Darby b 1827 m 27-11-1853 St Martins Worcestershire 6c p470 but on LDS it states the spouse as Maria Darby with no maiden name. If someone can help me that would be great.

Have you obtained a birth certificate for one of their children? This would confirm the mother's maiden name for you.

I've now the the marriage cert and Maria's maiden name was also Darby, daughter of William. I'm now investigating how closely they were related...although I suppose they could be very distant relations to each other. Was it common to marry relatives then?
