would some kind person lookup the following lady please, as she doesnt seem to be with her parents in 1851.

Thanks for that info, but im not sure its the right family! But will keep that in my notes. The Ricks seem very confusing as Ive been told there were two families of Ricks in Purton at the same time! (to me they must connect somewhere along the line!)

My Elizabeth's parents were Nathaniel and Elizabeth.

and they definitely had a son called Joseph Mark (known as Mark) born in oct 1841

Thanks ever so much for looking for me, but im afraid it seems to be the wrong Ricks. So many of them around - its so confusing.
Its even worse as Elizabeth's father is a Nathaniel too.
This is what Ive got on her.....

As I said Elizabeth (daughter) doesnt seem to be with her parents and siblings in the 1851 census. so she is either with someone else or has passed away.

Im afraid I dont know when she died. I was just about to make sure she was with the family in 1841 census - but I cant find it! I know I had it! But she was def born Elizabeth Ricks bap 1 Mar 1840 Purton Wilts
I was just interested when I realised she wasnt with her parents on the night of the census, thought it might give me a clue to more of the family!

Hi just wondered if im part of the same family as im only living in swindon which is the wiltshire area. My Grandfather is called Raymond Ricks, my father is called Clive Raymond Ricks. My father has two other brothers with the same surname, Howard Ricks and Bryan Ricks. Raymond my grandfather has numerous brothers, unfortunately i wouldnt be able to name them as i dont know alot about my fathers side of the family but i do know that one of the brother's sadly passed away around 2 yrs ago. And i do have a great aunt called Florey Ricks, Raymonds sister.

Any ideas?? if u can help that would be great.

Nice to hear from you. Sorry but Ive not come across the names you mentioned - so cant really say if they are related or not. Ive quite a few notes on the Ricks/Rix family so if I do come across anything Ill let you know.
You could try the "RIX FAMILY ALLIANCE" web site - its a paid membership one though im afraid. But might be worth a look - I cant think of the email address off hand but im sure if you google that it will come up.
If you have no luck with any thing or think you might be connected please get in touch again. And ill give you my email address. If you do find any more details of your Dads side can you let me know and ill look to see if I can tie anything in.
