Hi, only my second post on here so please be gentle if I make any outrageous faux-pas'.
I wonder if some kind person might be able to help me. I'm trying to find some details about the family of my great-grandfather, Thomas Topping, whom I know was born in around 1832 and who came from Crosby on Eden. From various sources I've managed to find out that his father was also called Thomas and his mother was an Elizabeth Little and that he also had a sister called Elizabeth but that's about as far as I've got. I know, from the 1841 census that there were several Toppings living in Crosby and in other nearby villages but I'm not sure if any of these are directly or indirectly related.
Does any of this ring any bells with some fifth generation Topping out there?
