You can try looking at the Victorian BDM site for more information. They charge for viewing particular records, but its not much - 99c a search page. For example, I looked up the surname Martin with parents joseph and mary born between 1880 and 1905 and it said that there were 8 matches.

thankyou so much for the latest info especially on Wilson. Edward Claude and Clarice were my grandparents, Merle was one of their children, my dad being another, my dad wanted his funeral at the Wilson chapel and ashes scattered outside it. I knew there was a connection with Lewis but I have never been able to piece it together the only thing I was told was he gave my dad his first job.Many thanks for that.

I couldn't find any marriage for Noel Grant WILSON - assume he married after 1942?
