I'm trying to locate Abigail Johns. I know she married Francis Bennett of Gerrans, 30th April 1770 in Philleigh. Searching the IGI site I came accross an Abigail Johns born about 1745 in Veryan. I contacted the OPC for Veryan who had an Abigail Johns born 1723/24 in Gerrans who married a Richard Thomas in Veryan 1762, and he wandered if my Abigail was a neice. Looking on the Gerrans site, I started to get confused. I found Abigail her father was listed as Mr. Stephen John, so I searched for all childen by him, they range from 1692 -1762, so obviously they can't all be his1 To complicate things more two of the children, 1731 and 1762 are listed as Johns.
Then I looked at marriages and found Mr. Stephen John (Jr.) marrying in 1722!!
I just can't get my head round this one. Any help greatly appreciated.

I've just been looking at the Veryan site and found a list of Johns who live there, but were born in Gerrans. Sorting through I found

Mary Johns b. 1712
Honour Johns b. 1715
Jane b. Johns 1717
William b. Johns 1719
Martha b. Johns 1720
Seraphim Johns b. 1722

Then I went back to the Gerrans site. All these people had the same father, Serraphim John.
So now I'm asuming that I need to find out if William or Seraphim Jr. are Abigails father?
